Despite a solid effort, our Prahran 1sts T20 were unable to get the better of Essendon Maribyrnong Park 1sts T20 in a disappointing result.
Batting first, Essendon Maribyrnong Park 1sts T20 posted 5/158 from 20 overs. Tia Davidge made a fine 52 for our opponents, a well-deserved half-century. Ella Stallwood returned figures of two for 26 off three overs.
Our chase ended at 146 from 19.4 overs. Merinda Hale was the pick of our batters with 37 off 42 balls. Solid support came from Stallwood, who made 27. Ira Aery was the best of the hosts' bowlers, finishing with four for 23.
We'll take the lessons from this one and go again.
Back to the nets, and on to the next one.
