Saturday didn't go our way, as our Prahran 2nd XI lost to Northcote 2nd XI away from home.
With the bat, we made 10/208; Northcote 2nd XI made 10/210. James Boyce led the way with 48 off 71 balls with three fours and two sixes. Sam Beer also got among the runs with 43 off 61 balls. Travis Jackson weighed in with 34 off 57 balls. Five wickets for Roby Lane of the hosts, who returned five for 54.
Hugh Birchall finished with five for 51, a five-wicket haul to savour. Michael Sacchetta posted 51 for our opponents, a good fifty.
We'll take the lessons from this one and go again. Well played to the hosts.
