Despite a solid effort, our Prahran 2nd XI were unable to stop Richmond 2nd XI on a day to learn from.
Our totals were 10/247, against Richmond 2nd XI's 5/250. Nicholas Morrey brought up a good half-century, finishing with 79 off 217 balls. Jack Hope-Bell brought up a classy half-century, finishing with 62 off 112 balls. Credit to Griffin Box, who claimed a five-wicket haul (five for 45) for our opponents.
Max Keogh led the way with the ball, finishing with three for 56. The hosts' Archit Bhatia made a polished 103. Max Parker passed fifty for our opponents, finishing with 58 not out.
Not our day, but there's plenty to work with. It's been a tough run, and we'll be working hard to turn it around. On to the next one.
