Our Prahran 2nds side were bettered by Melbourne 2nds in a disappointing result.
With the bat first up, we compiled 4/146 from 20 overs. Anushka Mehta's 53 off 45 balls was a half-century to remember. Ellen Williams made a cracking 51 off 49 balls, a well-made fifty.
Melbourne 2nds reached the target at 5/147 in 17.5 overs. Daisy Jeanes made a quality 67 for the visitors, a well-deserved half-century. Eliza Heard returned figures of two for 29 off three overs.
Credit to our opponents, who played well.
It's been a tough run, and we'll be working hard to turn it around. Back to the nets, and on to the next one.
