It was a tough day out for our Prahran 3rd XI, who had to give best to Carlton 3rd XI on Saturday at Righetti Oval.
Our innings: 10/154. Carlton 3rd XI's: 8/296. A classy 70 off 153 balls from Travis Jackson was the highlight. James Francis played a handy knock of 23. Ash Ward bowled well for our opponents, taking three for 17. Seth McGinty added three for 29 for the visitors.
Sam Dutton picked up two for 25 off ten overs. Hats off to Alessandro Belci, whose 109 was a stylish century for our opponents.
There were some good individual efforts to build on.
A tough stretch, and one the boys will be determined to end. Plenty to work on, and plenty to like.
