On Saturday at Righetti Oval, our Prahran 3rd XI came out on top against Northcote 3rd XI in Kookaburra Men's Premier.
Northcote 3rd XI's innings ended at 8/266, ours at 6/359. A century to Nathan A Munasinghe, who made 128 off 134 balls with fourteen fours and five sixes. Riley Backhouse's 82 off 181 balls was a half-century to remember.
Saksham Kapoor starred with the ball, taking three for 55. Credit to Jimmy Anderson, who made a century (102) for the visitors. Nicholas Pereara helped our opponents with 46.
It was a superb all-round effort, with contributions from right through the line-up. Onwards and upwards.
