It was a disappointing outing for our Prahran 2nd XI, who went under to Fitzroy Doncaster 2nd XI on a frustrating day.
Fitzroy Doncaster 2nd XI batted first and made 5/150 from 18 overs. Our opponents' best was a half-century from Blake Podesta, who made 69. Saksham Kapoor was the pick of the bowlers, taking two for 24 off four overs.
Needing 151 to win, we finished on 9/135 from 18 overs. Damon Malcolm brought up a stylish half-century, finishing with 64 off 40 balls. William Collins also got among the runs with 22 off 20 balls.
We'll take the lessons from this one and go again. Back to the nets, and on to the next one.
