It was one to learn from for our Prahran 1st XI, who were undone by St Kilda 1st XI on Saturday at Harry Trott Oval.
We batted first and put 9/169 on the board from 50 overs. Damon Egan passed fifty on the way to 58 off 106 balls with five fours. Damon Malcolm finished 31 not out off 37 balls. Matthew Hennig was the best of St Kilda 1st XI's bowlers, finishing with three for 27.
In reply, our opponents passed our total, finishing on 4/170 in 38.3 overs. The hosts' best was a half-century from James Seymour, who made 83 not out. Lachlan Bangs grabbed two for 34.
Chins up, everyone.
