Despite some good moments, our Prahran 1st XI came off second best against Carlton 1st XI with lessons to take away.
Carlton 1st XI batted first and were all out for 192 in 44.4 overs. Credit to Connor Rutland, who made a half-century (57) for our opponents. Andrew Tye led the way with the ball, finishing with three for 40. Shenuka De Silva claimed three for 45 as well.
In reply, the side were all out for 156 in 35.1 overs. Paul Walter brought up a classy half-century, finishing with 79 off 84 balls. Tye weighed in with 24 off 22 balls. Evan Gulbis bowled well for the hosts, taking four for 24.
Plenty to take out of this one.
Back to the nets, and on to the next one.
