There was no joy for our Prahran 3rd XI, who went down to Melbourne University 3rd XI in one to put behind us.
Melbourne University 3rd XI made 7/261, and we made 10/258. Pranav Menon made a terrific 64 off 99 balls, a well-made fifty. Henry Nicholls made a cracking 62 off 118 balls, a well-made fifty. Credit to Angus Harms, who took four for 36 for the hosts. Hunter Kremer-Slevin finished with four for 52 for our opponents.
Parth Rath picked up three for 68 off 25.3 overs. Hats off to Connor Hastings, whose 113 not out was a classy century for the hosts. Benjamin Rolfs posted 53 for our opponents, a quality fifty.
Plenty to take out of this one.
Congratulations to the hosts on the win.
