Our Prahran 3rd XI came unstuck as they lost to Essendon 3rd XI by four wickets.
The boys batted first and reached 5/242 from 45 overs. Nathan A Munasinghe posted a half-century, making 80 off 119 balls with six fours and three sixes. Solid support came from Travis Jackson, who made 47. Jesse van Rooyen contributed 47 off 44 balls. Jacob Pawlowicz was the best of Essendon 3rd XI's bowlers, finishing with four for 29.
The visitors knocked off the runs, finishing on 6/244 in 44 overs. Aidan Salvado passed fifty for our opponents, finishing with 87. Sean Phillips-Williams contributed 40 for the visitors. Liam McGain starred with the ball, taking four for 52.
Not our day, but there's plenty to work with. That's four losses in a row, but the side will keep working hard.
