Sunday didn't go our way, as our Prahran 2nds went down against Carlton 2nds in a contest that could have gone either way.
We batted first and put 8/154 on the board from 45 overs. Lucy Fletcher top-scored, making 43 off 71 balls. Emma Johnston also got among the runs with 40 off 92 balls. Tamsyn Hutchins bowled well for Carlton 2nds, taking three for 28.
Our opponents reached the target at 8/155 in 37.4 overs. Credit to Zoe Mackay, who made 47 for the hosts. Ava Bennett led the way with the ball, finishing with three for 21.
It could have gone either way, and the team can be proud of the fight. On to the next one.
